Well worth the wait

"We first heard of Rabbit Ears productions through featured spots on a Tennessee NPR radio station. We never got to hear the program, just the ads for these amazing-sounding stories. Once we discovered Rabbit Ears had a web site (www.rabbitears.com), I visited immediately and was astounded: the titles were a who's-who of my favorite actors, musicians, and stories. This is the first CD we bought, and while it took a while for it to ship, the wait was definitely worth it. The CD opens with Bobby McFerrin's acapella gymnastics introducing the selection from Rudyard Kiplin's Just So Stories. Then Jack Nicholson (Jack Nicholson! ) begins the tale as McFerrin supplies emotive musical emphasis and humorous sound effects (the rhinocerous vocalization is particularly funny). The CD saves the best for last, with Nicholson portraying a coyly insulted Djinn dealing with a rude and "most 'scrutiatin'" camel. These albums are the highest quality family-entertainment, upholding literary and cultural standards the likes of which are all but extinct nowadays. I plan to buy every one."
