"Rhoda Scott and Kenny Clarke was a dynamite organ duo with many recordings on the French Barclay label which is unfortunately still not on CD. The "Jazz in Paris" collection from Verve / Universal (total of approx. 100 albums)is a treasure and has brought out some very interesting long-out-of-print B3 recordings from organists Lou Bennett, Eddy Louiss and Rhoda Scott. This 1977 Scott/Clarke recording is the duo at its peak. Scott's approch and technique to the B-3 playing is quite different from the "Jimmy Smith" school of organists and her arranging / playing of tunes like "Satin Doll", "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life" is incomparable. In the category of the best "Organ drummer", Kenny Clarke is among the top 5 nominees. Throughout a joyous B-3 album with many great moments. Remember to turn the volume up since this B-3 burns!"

"I've been recently turned on to Rhoda Scott, and this is a great album. Most of the organ music that's available is in trio format, but this was a great example of what's possible with just organ and drums. Scott's solo on "It's Impossible" deserves repeated listenings.
