"I have this album, and I can say that it is unique. You can hear Salsa in another level with the song Iqui con Iqui (in which Ricardo Ray changes the Rythm many times, accelerating your pulse). The song Mr. Trumpet Man is a composition that ricardo made in honor of his 1st trumpet Doc Cheatham and it was an international hit. The song Tin Marin is heavy Salsa and Musica Ye Ye is a very joyful New York Salsa style song. I recomend it with any doubt."
Delicious hooks!

"Back in the late '60s when Latin Boogaloo was in its prime, this remarkable album with its very catchy tunes was prominently featured on New York radio station WEVD's the "Symphony Sid Show", which was a well-established watering-hole for latin music fans.
What most listeners don't know, however, is that the featured (and uncredited!) trumpeter on this release was none other than the eminent Doc Cheatham (1905-1997), whose exquisite licks on the track "Mr. Trumpet Man", are alone worth the price of the album.
A truly timeless classic whose juicy hooks will stay with you for years!
