A mediocre album by Richard Elliot

"I will start by saying that this is not Richard Elliot's best album (After Dark is his best, but that's beside the point.) Many of the songs on this album are rather boring and sound like the others. There are a few good songs like "Amazon" and "Unspoken words." This is not by any means a bad album, but it isn't a great one.^^^^^^^
Just over 2 years ago, I wrote that review, which was my first impression of the album. I've since changed my mind about it. City Speak is actually a pretty good album. Sure this ablum's not quite as good as, say, After Dark or Chill Factor, but there are some really good songs on here. Like I said, "Amazon" and "Unspoken Words" are pretty good, but so are "Downhill Run" and "All I need". The songs "Sweet Surrender", "I'll Make Love to You" and "When the Lights Go Out" are a little slow for my tastes but not bad. The rest of the CD is good music with a good groove to it."
