Moon | Valley Village, CA | 11/27/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "Advent is a collection of three interrelated pieces from 1988 that take cue from the more traditional school of minimalism including names such as Glass, Reich, Riley, even the Theatre of Eternal Music. Playing a sequence on Piano repeatedly and over-layering this with voice, Oboes and eventually guitar--Youngs take what is typically considered the terrain of academics only and comes up with a quite listenable and enjoyable recording. Available only on Table of the Elements records which is notorious for making things available in only very limited quantity, so pick yours up now."
