CD Reviews

Not just a fine jazz pianist, but great vocals!
theresa | 07/11/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"My two favorites on this CD, "Moon and Sand" and "If I Only Had a Brain," are the epitome of style and substance. And his own compositions, such as the title cut, "Thought Provoking," and "Living Inside a Daydream" are not only intriguing but also merit listening to again and again."
Finally!! A jazz vocalist that sings from the heart!

"Not since Louis Armstrong and Chet Baker has something like this come along. Maybe thats because like those two greats, Rick is also an innovative instrumentalist as well. This record truly transcends the mediocrity that is plaguing this art form. Highly Recommended!"
Thoughts from a happy purchaser

"As a purchaser of this fine cd - I was surprised to read the bizarre review from the jealous ex-schoolmate from nsyncland.
Anyone who considers himself a fan of Nsync as this person does from nsynclandusa is obviously lacking the depth & minimum understanding of the artform of Jazz that is needed to appreciate this extraordinary music played by these extraordinary musicians. The plug for Diana Krall obviously sealed this writers shallow tomb. My advice to this person: Do yourself a favor and grow up & learn to understand America's greatest artform."
