Album Description
2010 three CD set from the Prog/New Age keyboardist. Past, Present and Future is a triple disc set with each disc in this set reflecting part of the title Past, Present and Future. As the title implies the album focuses on time and the themes running through it also come under each of the three headings. New Age Solo Piano Music - Melodic and Relaxing
M. Becker | Dallas, TX | 05/19/2010
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is pretty much what I thought it would be: New Age piano music. Very nice melodies totaling about three and half hours. Don't expect any of this to sound like Rick from his YES days or early solo efforts. This is meant for relaxing, but the melodies are nice and varied. What I don't understand is why there was no accompanying booklet!! C'mon now, 3 CD's of new piano music; you'd think he have a lot to say. I'm not disappointed, but this is not something I would listen to over and over. Bottom line is that I am still glad I bought it."
Exquisite

(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you like the solo piano work of Rick Wakeman, buy this. If you like music for piano, buy it. It isn't Yes, it isn't progressive rock and if that is what you are looking for, look elsewhere. What it is is exquisite, intimate music for solo piano and as such, is wonderful. I'm not one to criticize something for not being something other than what it is or not being like something else. I listen to music on its own merits, to see where it takes me, and this goes somewhere close to sublime."
