"I originally purchased the soundtrack of the Ken Russell "disaster", "Lisztomania" way back when the movie came and went....I loved the music. I'm not a classical music expert
or purist, but I liked then, what I still like now with this release...an interesting interpretation of Liszt by Rick Wakeman,
and Roger Daltrey. I was pleased when the announcement was made that this album was returning in Wakeman's original version which
he reportedly had submitted for the film....the soundtrack is
very hard to find, so this version for me was a "welcome surprise"! If you're into Wakeman...and are sentimental about
the decade the film was made, including Tommy....you'll enjoy it.
If you hate any attempt by Rick Wakeman or others to record
interpretations of Franz Liszt's music or any of the "masters"...
you'll hate it, and Roger Daltry's vocals...I loved it!

Track 21 is Magnificent

"If the only track on this CD was #21 Loves Dream, I would consider this purchase a bargain. Listening to Rick's rendering of Liebestraum is pure magic. Having listened to this track performed by numerous greats such as Vladimir Horowitz, I consider Rick's performance to be both technically pure and inspired. Anyone who enjoys the brilliance of Franz Liszt performed by a true master will definitely enjoy this piece."
