"I have not been a big Ricky Skaggs listener until several years ago when I bought this CD. The song "give us a happy home" came into my life at just the right time. It is the only song that I have ever heard that clearly demonstrates the reality of divorce from the child's (victim's) point of view. If you are a parent and are contemplating divorce, please listen to this song first!! Your child will thank you for it!"

"My Father's Son

I'm not a real fan of country or bluegrass but I heard this song on a tribute to our soldiers. It took me forever to locate the CD that has it but I finally did and enjoyed the whole CD. I listened to this song every day my son was in Iraq and it brought great comfort to me."

"Here is an album containing songs with lyrics as strong as the music. Just by reading the song titles (Father Knows Best, Give Us a Happy Home, etc.) you understand the perpective of this fine album. Some songs are upbeat (Simple Life) while some are more thoughtful (Somebody's Prayin)."
