"RIDDLE OF STEEL. These hombres know how to kick it. Infectious to the point of mind-altering, everything about this trio of pure musicians from St. Louis, MO define what modern rock should be. Loud, precise, hooky, and polished. Every album they release can be compared with such house rockin' fare as AC/DC's BACK IN BLACK, or THE CULT's ELECTRIC but with a unique style all of their own. 1985 is no exception. This is the kind of record that, for lack of a more suitable term, kickith the proverbial arse. You can tell upon listening these guys not only know how to make superb rock music, they are having a blast doing it. This is a very accessible disc (as is the rest of their catalog - an EP entiled BURN, and two full lengths - PYTHON, and GOT THIS FEELIN'), delivering very smooth lyrics with great hook accompanied by supercoolly arranged instrumentation. Not to be missed by any fan of energetic, yet melodic and thoughtful, teeth gnashing, foot stomping rock 'n roll."
