"This Show Documents Ringo's August 23, 2001 show at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago. I had the pleasure of joining Richard Starkey, M.B.E. on this most stormy night. Almost all of the songs performed that night are here, except for Ringo's "Boys", "It Don't Come Easy", and "I'm the Greatest", Ian Hunter's "Cleveland Rocks", and "I'm Going to be Someone", Greg Lake's "In the Court of the Crimson King" and "Karnevil No. 9", two songs by Howard Jones, the names of which I cannot remember, and another song by Sheila E, the name of which I cannot remember. What a fantastic show! What a fantastic CD! Although, were I at the helms, this would be a double CD, so that every Ringo song would have gone on. He is the star of the show, after all. Still, King Biscuit was wise to release this gem. Keep up the good work, Ringo!"

"Who has more fun performing than anyone? What's his name? RINGO! He gets buy with a little help from his friends and what friends. If you can't see him in person this CD is the next best thing. BUY IT!"
Quite Possibly The Best All-Starr Lineup Ever

"This CD is delightfully energetic. "Photograph" is very upbeat, and the rest of the performances are played splendidly. Almost all of my Ringo favorites are here, including "Don't Go Where The Road Don't Go," "With a Little Help From My Friends," "Yellow Submarine" and "Back Off Boogaloo." Notably missing: "It Don't Come Easy." But that one's on the DVD of the tour, so all is well. The All-Starr Band is also very strong. "Give A Little Bit" is a highlight. I have never seen Ringo live, but after hearing this and other releases, I hope he comes back soon!"
The 2001 All Starrs shine

"I saw one of the concerts on this tour, so I awaited the release of the CD anxiously. This recording at the Rosemont Ballroom in Chicago is not the full concert, but does preserve excellent individual performances, and captures the enthusiastic interactions between Ringo, the All Starrs and the audience which are always a feature of these tours. The sound engineering is especially good for the soloists' voices. Roger Hodgson's performance in three of his best known compositions from his Supertramp years are performed beautifully-his voice is as appealing as ever with perfect back-up harmonies provided by Howard Jones, and enthusiastic sax solos by Mark Rivera. Howard Jones's "No One Is to Blame" is better than his studio version. Sheila E. performs the only featured drum solo in any of these tours. Ringo's performances are his "standards" for these concerts, but the performances of "Back Off Boogaloo" and "Don't Go Where the Road Don't Go" will get you out of your seat.
Drumheads (Ringo's fans) are already cranking up this CD and reliving the great 2001 tour. Anyone who doesn't have the earlier releases of the All Starrs, or the 3-disc anthology should listen in on the fun."
Another great All Starr Band release

"This was the tour from 2001, the only one so far that was unrepresented on last years "Anthology" box. It was not only another amazing tour with talented musicians, but historical in that this was the first All Starr Band to feature a female musician. And Sheila E. holds her own, definitely. A must-have cd from the incomparable Ringo, who gets by with a little help from his friends."
