Choose Love - Choose Great Rock 'N Roll!

"Ringo Starr and Mark Hudson are the main forces in Ringo Starr's "Choose Love." This album brings forth Ringo's talent as a singer. The vocal range of Ringo is quite well suited to the type of music that is presented in this album. The pounding drums from which Ringo is famous starts the toe-tapping at the start of the very first song. Choose Love is a typically great rock album from a former Beatles member. This is classic rock at its best. Any Rock `N Roll fan will feel right at home with Ringo's latest album. Do not be afraid to listen for other elements of music such as Ringo's ability to natively incorporate a Western style of music into the traditional beat.



Choose Love brings in many guitar riffs made famous by George Harrison in many of the Beatles' songs. However, Ringo presents them in such a way that is it not at all plagiarism, and uses the riffs in new and creative ways to adequately fit the song. The borrowed riffs make perfect sense in their placement and add to the songs instead of subtract.



Choose Love may not be considered fresh to many. However, due to the lack of good classical rock released within the past decade, Ringo's tribute to standard "feel-good" Rock `N Roll is a welcome change from the typical singing of unintelligible lyrics. The album has been produced very well in the recording studio of Ringo's home due to the album's wonderful blend of dynamics. Ringo made sure that his lyrics were intelligble and struck close to home.



In Choose Love, the namesake song of the album, we're first introduced to a memorable guitar riff electrifying the soul followed with the strong drum beat Ringo which made him famous. The lyrics accurately reflect the inner-harmony that Ringo feels towards the people of the world. Guitar solos, drum beats, lyrical strengths, are all important factors that draw people into this song.



This is an album that will bring a smile to your face."
