"Please understand that Out of Myself & Second Life Syndrome are welcome favorites of mine for the last year or so. The 3 new songs on this EP are slower, but with the same lovable suave intensity unique to Riverside (superb - therefore the 4 stars). The Live songs are a bit rough... but hey these guys have been together, how long?
3 Years ?
This is definitly a wonderfull musical expierence, from basic rock, building in emotional intensity to a grauling metal burst, all this without loosing their sound. . . love it!
Don't start with this one! Get Out of Myself (1st One) or Second Life Syndrome the sequel to the previous first CD.
Both are excellent, highly recommended if you like...
same comparison with other bands type of sound b s
I will leave up to you to spend 12 bucks or not
I have no regrets. Peace"

"Many fans were disappointed by this release, but, seeing as it is not part of the masterful trilogy, they should not see it as an official release. It is more of an expansion pack (nerdy term, I know). That said, this album still has legs. It shows the softer side of the band---but the songs are still excellently written and performed. The live tracks are in many ways superior to their original recordings! So, do not listen to the haters out there. This album is beautiful. On a side note, this album almost always accompanies me while I take my college exams. It gets me in a groove where I can focus intensely on what is at hand. It is deep and introspective. What more can I ask?"
If you are a Riverside fan - Get it NOW

"Firstly, I do not consider this to be the THIRD release of Riverside. It is more of an appetiser to me for their next release. You would have to a true Riverside fan to completely appreciate this EP. I am such a fan of this band that I actually ordered it on a Polish Web Site (All in Polish, so it was'nt easy) before Inside Out issued it. My biggest disappointment is that my EP (On the Mystic Label) does not include the Video CD of "Acronym Love". Of interest, the band perform this song Live. My disappointment does turn to ecstacy in the fact that I have the EP fully signed, and with the Video CD included on the enhanced CD, I will sadly have to part with more hard earned cash to grab this too. I bought the CD Single "Conceiving you" as well, basically because it has an unreleased track on it which is very average, but "I believe" (sic) that it will become very collectible as well. Basically, the songs are very mellow (apart from the live version of "Out of myself") and you shouldn't expect the same sounds as "OOL" or "SLS". It is great music for chilling out too. Finally, if you are a big Porcupine Tree fan, you will want all of the No Man CDs which are very different in style. Same goes with Riverside. I am not sure if there are any Pre-Riverside releases, but were any Mariusz Duda is available, I would be very keen to investigate. I sincerely class this guy in the same league as Steve Wilson."
