CD ReviewsRedefining the "Detroit Sound" 07/10/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Robb Roy hits the streets with a cutting-edge rock sound that will blow you away. Graham Strachan's mighty vocals are only matched by Mike Kudrieko's guitar playing. A must for anyone, especially those sick of programmed radio!" Perfect Blend of Music and Lyrics 06/30/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Man, this is a good band! I bought this on the recommendation of a friend and haven't put it on the shelf yet. It's too bad that this site only showcases one of my favorite songs - "Magic Lotion," the funky "Shame," and the anti-anthem "Sineater." It's hard to appreciate the range of sound without hearing the entire recording. Robb Roy strikes an excellent balance between instruments and voice, so you don't miss the lyrics - which are both meaningful and singable. This IS really hard music to categorize. It's metal with a bluesy soul; it's dark without being nihilistic; its lyrics are relevant yet infectious. And Robb Roy definitely have a sense of humor, as evidenced by the blues song "Stranger in the Kitchen" - the last, "hidden" track. It's been a while since I've had the pleasure of hearing a recording that's this good from start to finish." Pure Magic 04/26/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "I like this cd for several reasons. First, it has some cool songs on it--like "Dirt" and I also like the guitarist, Mike Kudreiko, who also happens to be my uncle. I hope I can play the guitar like him one day.Matt"
