"Broadway Music Fanatics who haven't heard ROBERT AND ELIZABETH, will be in for a huge treat. It's music and lyrics are magical.Over thirty years ago I listened to the original broadway play on a daily basis. We played the record til it "skipped" its way to the trash. For years, I have searched for this music to add to my personal "best of broadway" collection.Thanks to the net and new techology, we can not only conjure up the memories, we can actually experience them again."

"This is not a soundtrack but a l987 Chichester stage cast recording. The original cast album (1964 Lyric Theatre, London) recording starred June Bronhill and Keith Michell ( EMI Angel West End CD number 0777 7 89059 2 09 ..digitally remastered) This is the definitive version. In the Chichester revival June's voice is 23 years older, and sounds it, and Michell was replaced in all but one song by a lesser

singer. Lovers of this charming show should pursue the EMI

CD, and hopefully Amazon will include it in future listings."
