Very fine rockabilly

"This is a great recording, capturing Gordon and Wray at their prime, during the late 70s when they were the toast of the live concert scene, especially on the east coast. Bruce Springsteen was a big fan -- he gave Gordon the song "Fire" (a fact the ill-informed negative reviewer above seems to ignore). Link Wray provides some excellent guitar work here. The 20 second solo at the 50 second mark of Lonesome Train is worth the price of the record, a rock and roll classic moment.
But don't get this one -- get the combo CD, which brings Fresh Fish Special together with the original Robert Gordon with Link Wray disk -- plus 9 bonus tracks. And the transfer is better, great sound."

"can't believe the review i read on this cd.believe me,this is a rockabilly classic.top notch material, impeccable singing and guitar playing.real hot stuff.the other review mentioned the production was poor.can't agree there.of course,it's then mentioned in the review that other albums from that time had good production,e.g.,pink floyd, alan parsons and the knack.!!!enough said."
