CD Reviews

A real Gem for Collectors and Fans
Steven Perry | Chicago | 04/02/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I just got mine and I love it. The music over all is warm and gentle. The selections for each disc fit very well together. Very charming. This is a well designed and well assembled quality package. The original art work by Alfreda Benga compliments the music. A booklet includes a disc by disc listing with comments disc by disc by Robert Wyatt. Disc 5, not listed above, includes four tracks; Was a Friend; Maryan; A Sunday in Madrid; Free Will and Testament. Wyatt covers Peter Gabriel's song about Steven Biko, a fitting interpretation, so well done."

"Disc four contains a 'remix' of the soundtrack to "The Animals' Film"

The set also holds two quicktime versions of "Shipbuilding" which on their own are worth the entrance fee.

Lyrical, melodic, adventurous? and always thoughtful."
