"I can't BELIEVE no one's ever written a review of this one before. This album is almost unbearably gorgeous!! Of course, everyone knows the title track, but honestly, the whole album holds up way better than it seems to be given credit for. "Early Ev'ry Midnite" and "Some Gospel According To Matthew" by themselves make it a must, not to mention "Mr. Magic" and Stevie Wonder's "I Can See The Sun In Late December." This is music to dream by, or make love to, or dream about making love, or making love in a dream...get my drift? "Classic" doesn't even begin to describe this beautiful piece of work. Pop, R&B, jazz, whatever: labels are like a crutch used by those who are incapable of appreciating music itself more than any one type of it. Buy this CD now!"

"Roberta Flack, perhaps the most eloquent, tasteful vocalist/arranger of her day, delivers another set of mostly wonderful recordings on this bluesy-pop collection. The orchestrations are pure Roberta - the visceral rhythm section is sublime; the swelling strings often stir great emotion. Even the throwaway pop on this album - I Wanted It Too, Heartbreak Top Ten - are intensely listenable. And that hit tune, Feel Like Makin' Love, has a breezy, jazzy, timeless feel."

"I was emotionally touched by the title track. It has a sort of funky etherealness to it all that it makes it what it is. The guitar-playing, drum arrangement, and the twinkle-sounds make it a sure-fire sizzler for any happily married couple out there, old or young. It is a mighty ballad that makes this author quite warm inside. Ironically, my parents were still in grade school when this legendary song came out, and I heard it in one of my rare radio-recording sessions in New York. I fell in a strange, euphoric state, and I'm sure most will, too. Although its beat may seem repititive and almost hip-hoppish in a sense, it still comes perilously close to bringing a tear to my eye everytime I hear it. It is a classic this author may never forget..."
