"Roberta Peters Sings Operatic Arias
Roberta Peters may not be the best coloratura soprano of all time, but she's way ahead of whoever's in 2nd place! I like this collection also because it has some ensembles: not all solos by her alone.
On the negative side, whoever recorded these didn't know how to operate the volume control, resulting in some distortion on the latter selections.
This is easily fixed, however, with good software.
Too bad she didn't record more; and especially more videos. Her only video opera I know of is a dress rehearsal of LElisirdAmore, with CarloBergonzi, in which she was coming down with age (1989?)."
Old, but Gorgeous

"Although the quality is not everything you could want, this album was recorded in the 50's. It's never going to be up to today's standards. I was thrilled, however, to be able to get a CD of Roberta Peters. She is, in my opinion, the greatest of the coloratura sopranos."
