"Maybe Robi Rosa is better known as a composer for Ricky Martin ('La copa de la vida'). And while Martin's music is pop straight, Robi Rosa's music is darker. For me, he's the grandmaster of the gothic genre in spanish. This CD is full of melancholy, of despair. Robi's voice can jump from a really somber growl to a mad wail. His lyrics are poetry, being his influences romantic poets like Blake and Shelley and symbolists (and late romantics) like Baudelaire and Rimbaud. Even you can find Pessoa in his music. Really, I don't know what will become of his music when he discovers Paul Celan, but you bet that it will get better. So, if you are looking for good music to caress your ears, if you feel like Icarus, come enter the master. Buy this CD."

"I have been a Robi fan since 1984.i have been there during Menudo, his Portuguese releases, Salsa, Maggie's Dream, Frio, Vagabundo, and Songbirds & Roosters. Vagabundo is my favorite CD of all time. "Blanca Mujer" is my favorite song of all time. I like to put my stereo on repeat so that I can hear it over and over. This CD will never get old to me. I even bought a backup copy in case it goes out of print and mine should break! The only word that I can think of to describe this CD is "PERFECTION." You will not be disappointed! PS I speak very little Spanish; this CD crosses all language barriers."

The Best Album of the 90's Rock en Español Revival

"That's basically what this album is. In my opinion, it is also the best album of any genre I've ever owned/heard. During the 90's, no 'rock-en-espaol' band came close to successfully achieving the sound quality of the 'gringo' alternative bands of the day they were trying to copy & blend with their latino roots. Draco did with this album and it tops my all-time favorites list, above such classics as Alice in Chains' 'Dirt', Pearl Jam's 'Vs.' & Kyuss' 'Welcome to Sky Valley'. I make mention of these albums because I think anyone who appreciates any or all of them will love this album (pick it up!). Perfect production work by Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music, Pink Floyd) and Robi. Other 'rock-en-espaol' albums worthy of mention:
* Heroes del Silencio - Avalancha (also produced by Manzanera)
* Cafe Tacuba - Re
* Aterciopelados - El Dorado"

"If you want to hear a master of poetry in music,Draco is by far the best. This cd contains some of Vagabundo and his latest songs from Mad Love in Spanish by far one of the best. I have no complaints. If you want to hear some dark gothic mystical music to sit back and expand the mind this is it. I'd give 500 hundred stars but its not allowed. As a matter of fact all of his cd's are worth it. Check them out. Darkgothicdreamer signing out."
