Robin Guthrie & Cocteau Twins fans are in for a superb treat

"This absolutely gorgeous music by Robin Guthrie will make his fans (and fans of his original group, Cocteau Twins) want to hit the "replay" button over and over. Although written as a movie soundtrack, the songs play out perfectly on their own, without sounding like incidental music or background music. Guthrie is well known for his lush, dreamy guitar work and this CD is ethereal and delivers what his fans love- but it never becomes too sleepy. I know that a lot of Cocteau Twins fans will listen to this and pine for the days when Liz Frazier was singing with the dreamscapes that Guthrie creates- but give this CD a good listen, hit play again, and soon you will completely forget that Frazier is absent. Guthrie is a master at writing and performing his solo work- imagine the Cocteau Twins music in a more pure, distilled form that hits home in a refreshing way. If you like this CD, be sure to check out the superb "Mysterious Skin" soundtrack that Guthrie also performed. Both of his soundtracks are little-known masterpieces. I can't wait to hear what Robin will share with us next...."
