The perfect album title. . .

"In this delightful work, Robin and Linda have delivered an early and indispensible yuletide gift. This is not the familar mix of old chestnuts, but rather a thoughtful and heartfelt collection of songs old, new and in-between, presented with impeccable taste and musicianship by the Williamses and a superb cast of cohorts. One of their familar favorites, "Together All Alone," joins several new seasonal originals( "Shotgun Shells on a Christmas Tree," "On a Quiet Christmas Morn," and the title track) which will speak to a wide audience in quiet, joyful ways. Tunes by other great contemporary songsmiths John Prine, Steve Earle and Roger Miller get loving treatment as well. They have also included two of my favorite traditional works, "Mary Had A Baby," and "Brightest and Best," (sometimes known as "Star of the East,") to put the perfect "seasoning" in the mix. This is like a Christmas card from distant and very special friends and with it Robin & Linda bless us--every one!"

"I've been waiting for this for years. In fact, I went on an MPR Prairie Home forum and suggested it a couple of years ago. Robin and Linda's wonderful musicianship, and that of their supporting cast, has produced an album that will be treasured by anyone who buys it."
