"...a RFTC veteran, this LP is blistering hot and well worth your attention! I bought my first Rocket From The Crypt record, Circa Now, the month it was released. I fell madly in love with that LP and began my search for everything that bore the name Rocket From The Crypt--not an easy task in the pre-internet days! I discovered Paint as a Fragrance and bought a copy. Yes, it is different than subsequent RFTC records, but the heart and soul of everything that made RFTC so special is abundant. I agree that it may be better to start with Circa Now or Scream, Dracula... but you should give Paint as a Fragrance a chance, you won't be sorry. Skol."
