"On this compilation of Rodney Crowell's best, one hears songs that are in a league of their own. Two of the best love songs, "What Kind of Love" and "After ALl This Time" are simply amazing. There are a couple good, fast paced songs. But "Many a Long and Lonesome Highway" is the best song, not only on this album, but one of the best of all time. This album captures the amazing talent that Mr. Crowell posesses. The emotion that he draws out of the listener is remarkable. A must have for ANY serious lover of music."

"...this is a great collection of Rodney's best hard country material from his highly successful stint on Columbia Records. Personally, I'd say it's worth it to get the original albums instead, but if you've really gotta got to get only one Rodney record, this is a pretty good option."
