""Music from The Body" is basically a soundtrack for a film version of Anthony Smith's book "The Body", written in 1968. Actually the whole soundtrack was re-recorded for a vinyl release because Ron wanted to make it sound better than it originaly did. This is probably more of a Ron Geesin album than Roger Waters solo attempt. However, the team work these two put together to make this is fantastic. I'll admit this is probably not for everyone. Mostly fans of early Pink Floyd or Ron Geesin himself would be at all intersted in this. It consistis of 22 tracks that feature some Waters "folksy" solo guitar work and a strange collection of short cuts & sound effects from Ron Geesin. This album is best known for it's final track "Give Birth to a Smile". If this track seems to be a bit more substansion that the others, you're probably right. The rest of Pink Floyd made a guest appearance on the song but went uncredited on the lp. Only a little while after this was recorded, Geesin would be called to help out with Pink Floyd's 23 minute epic "Aton Heart Mother" from an album of the same name. All in all this is a decent recording that flows more like an album not a soundtrack, and a gem for any Geesin or Floyd fan."

Warped Waters

"This is as warped as rock and roll gets! I first heard this music on vinyl in the early 1980's and was convinced that Roger and his mate were experimenting with something other than musical instruments. On one occasion, I listened to this music when I was very tired and I dozed off. I was woken half way through in a nightmare state - never been more frightened in my life. Overall though the music grows on you and the last track (give birth to a smile) is superb. The lyrical content seems to refer to most of the "pathetic" things that humans engage in. I don't know - have a listen for yourself!"

Very mystycal and exciting music, a world of surprise.

"This album offers extreme rarity. The type of musical exposure is not found on any other recording. Several songs have very good melodious tune, and a great listening pieces, others offer something never heard before. A great buy at Amazon, highly recommended."
