CD ReviewsA brilliant debut from a fine singer Peter Durward Harris | Leicester England | 08/02/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "To my knowledge, Ronna recorded a total of five albums. It appears that while Ronna enjoys country music, she was never entirely happy about recording it. However, her first three albums were unquestionably country albeit with contemporary edge. Her fourth album, though still country, was less so than the first three. This album marked her debut. There is one golden oldie - Talk back trembling lips, written by John D Loudermilk and originally a country number one for Ernest Ashworth. Ronna's cover of this song is excellent. The remaining songs appear to be all originals. Sadly mistaken was co-written by Byron Gallimore, who was unknown at the time but has since established himself through his work with Jo Dee Messina and others. Karen Staley, a great singer-songwriter who has written plenty of hits for others but never established herself as a singer, wrote the title track. It is clear from this and some of Ronna's albums that she is an excellent singer. It is a pity for all of us that she never found a recording style that suited both her and her record company. This is well worth listening to, as are her other country albums, all of which I own." Cool country Gen X Music Addict | Minnesota | 04/27/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "Ronna's voice is great, the songs are meaningful, and the music is great. Even non-country fans will find themselves grooving along with this album. Excellent Ronna."
