Great music even if you don't know French, way better if you

"You can tell Rose's music is influenced by her favorite artists Bob Dylan and Janis Joplin. Her songs are poetic, lyrical, and soulful. I'm a (sometimes closeted) Francophile but sadly don't know French well. My one and a half semesters of French at CCSF only gets me so far. Her music carries its own weight, though, and will draw you into learning the lyrics. The songs then become even more wonderful.
My favorite songs at the moment are La Liste, Sombre Con, and Ciao Bella. In La Liste, Rose sings to her imaginary lover of the list of things she'd would like to do with him - including repaint her room green, go to Ikea, and pretend to be sick. She even wants to cry on the sidewalk, make him suspicious, and ask for forgiveness. A sweet tune. I may be off but I think Sombre Con roughly translates to miserable or complete a-hole, to whom she sings - of him and "her". It's hard to tell if she loves the guy or is just observing that he's an idiot, probably both. Ciao Bella is the first song by Rose I ever heard. It's a touching song memorializing her grandfather. She seems to repeat what he said to her when she was young, that it was the others who were crazy and they were not the others. She feels he watches over her and will never forget his voice, or maybe it's he who tells her he will never forget her voice.
Rose's music is fresh and ranges in content. Her music definitely falls under the pop category but don't hold that against her. She can sing, write music, and play a guitar. This talent's worth a listen!"
Aah, Rose, quelle merveille!

"If Rose doesn't enchant you I don't know who ever will.
The first time you listen to Rose sing, don't think, just take it in and let go.
The music feels light like a summer breeze, uplifting and liberating. Marvelous melodies, terrific musicians - and then there is of course Rose, her voice, seducing and sweet, dreamy and playful all at the same time.
But with Rose once is not enough. Once the last (hidden) song is over you just have to push replay.
The second time around, listen to what she has to say and let her pull you along and into her world. You'll be surprised at what you'll find.
Sure, Rose sounds tender and her voice beautiful, almost innocent. Listening to the lyrics will take you onto the next level.
Rose's use of the French language is magic. The rhymes are funny and sad, angry and hurt - or suddenly simply bored for a day.
Forget what you think you know about The French chanson. This is different.
Rose is unique. Think of a warm summer breeze, the sun as it colors La Provence, the waves of the Mediterranean rolling onto the shores, a 2CV, a bikini, a strong coffee, a good book, a chocolat chaud with a croissant, or wine with a fresh baguette. There are a few thunderclouds in the distance but they never get close.
Sweet, funny, jazzy and sexy, yes, all of that - so very French.
I swear Rose will always have you wanting for more.
By the way: Amazon's note that it has been discontinued is false. You can get it from amazon.fr, amazon.de and probably amazon.ca"
