"I happened to be in Florence, Italy when I first heard this CD. I had gone into a pharmacy to get something for my larger than life mosquito bite and this CD was playing. I stopped dead in my tracks. With my limited Italian, I asked the pharmacist about the music he was playing and he brought out this CD. I was reminded of Ella and Sarah though this singer has a style of her own. If you're into the great female jazz singers as I am, you can't miss with this one!"
Her voice remains nothing short of angelic.Atmospheric jazz.

"The American-Italian jazz songstress is definitely one of the best vocalists out today, and one of Europe's most adventurous
musicians.
She is a sensuous, expressive interpreter of the jazz standards(by such American songwriters as Cole Porter,George Gershwin,Duke Ellington,Thelonius Monk) that fill the album.
Casale's tribute to her biggest infuences is an incredible CD that manages to capture both Rossana's delicate vocal power and the spirit of the women it is paying tribute to.With an ace backing band and a firm understanding of how to achieve her tributes,Casale has provide a very engaging album, recorded in a whirlwind four-day session, which gives a pleasing contemporary gloss to familar classics such as 'My Funny Valentine','Good Morning Heartache','Summertime'...
Overall,a splendid album of atmospheric jazz.A pearl !"
Can't stop playing it !

"Rossana is great! She is one of the most distinguished, distinctive jazz vocalists in the world.
I love this CD : heartfelt, passionate, playful covers by the unique songstress.
My only question : why isn't she bigger in US ? After all,she is American, born in America..."
Too weak and boring

"This cd is just.. jazz, classic jazz. Nothing of new, no experimentations. Casale's voice is original and "weak" much enough to renmain in your mind after having listened the cd, but.. the fact is that it's very hard to arrive to the end: "Jazz In Me" is boring after 3/4 tracks yet, it immediately sounds "already listened" and monotone. And the solos are useless and boting, really really boring. I suggest you buying Casale's new "Bille Holiday In Me", even if it's a little bit more expensive."
