Roy Ayers' Best Album

"Finally, for the first time on CD is Roy Ayers' 1979/80 classic album "No Stranger To Love". This is the one I've been waiting on for years. It contains the dance hit "Don't Stop The Feeling", all 8 minutes of it, as well as Roy's remake of Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For Love", in which he adds a little spice jazzed up in Roy's own inimitable style.
Other great songs include the title track - "No Stranger/Want You" where Roy plays the vibes on the first half of the song, then he brings it home with smooth vocals for the rest of the song. "No Stranger" is probaby the best love song Roy ever recorded, even topping "You Send Me" from his 1978 album. Another favorite here is "Don't Let Our Love Slip Away" featuring some sultry, sexy female vocals on the chorus to accompany Roy's lead and signature vibe solos.
"Shack Up, Pack Up, It's Up" and "Slyde" are great dance songs also. "Don't Hide Your Love" is outstanding. Every song on this album is a sure winner. If you're a Roy Ayers fan, this is a must-have for your CD collection. Get it now before it goes out of print again!
Hopefully "Fever" (1979) and "Freaky Deaky" (1978) will be available on CD soon as well."
