"While I wandered through Amazon's Roy Orbison CDs I saw that this twofer
of the Edsel series about Roy had not been rated yet something I found
the need to do so although I bought it 2 years ago. Here we have two
great original LP's both from 1966 recorded during the days the terrible
tragedy struck Roy's life with the death of his wife, Claudette, on a
motorcycle accident. By the way, the song "Claudette", a hit by the
Everly Brothers in 1958, was written by Roy and dedicated to his future
wife. With such a loss, the songs of "the Classic Roy Orbison" and
"Cry softly lonely one" are true special. Being one of the greatest
ballad singer of all times, there are a lot of unforgettable beauties
on this reissue from "Losing You" to "It's Time To Cry". One of the songs
available, and almost unknown to the public, is "She" which to me is the
best song of the whole Roy Orbison's catalogue existing of hundreds and
hundreds of recordings from 1958 till 1988. I highly recommend the
purchsae of this twofer which together with "Roy sings Don Gibson" is Roy Orbison
at his best with that unique and beautifully mastered voice."

"I have been a Roy Orbison fan since 1959. I have everything he ever recorded. In my opinion "Cry Softly Lonely One" was his best MGM album.
This will not disappoint. I was well pleased with all of the re-issues
of his MGM albums. There was no one like him, What a voice and what a great song writer.
