CD Reviews
Brad Delp (Boston) on vocals

"This is the second RTZ album. It is a great follow up to the 1991 first album that featured the single Until Your Love Comes Back Around. If you like Boston and Orion the Hunter, you will like this album. RTZ is Brad Delp (Boston) on vocals and Barry Goudreau (former Boston) on guitar. The best song is Turn This Love Around. When You Love Someone and Don't Lead Me On are also great tunes. The record company sat on this album for several years before they quietly released it. This CD stayed in my car's CD player for the first two weeks after I purchased it. Great songs + great talent."
A rare gem

"This album followed 7 years after the smash RTZ debut. I believe it was never released in the U.S., only in Germany. There are some great songs here, although it doesn't quite match the brilliance of the first one. These songs were recorded over several years, and is a collection of songs that were sort of thrown together and released commercially, hence the title "Lost". If you like Brad Delp, the Boston sound, or the RTZ debut album, you'll probably like this one."
RTZ - 'Lost' (Avalon) 3 1/2 stars

"What do you know?Another Boston spin-off band, like Orion The Hunter(see my review of their sole release). Basically,if you like Boston and Orion, you should get something out of 'Lost', which is RTZ's second effort. Decent arena rock here, tunes I liked best were "Turn This Love Around","Don't Wait","Don't lead Me On" and this disc's bonus track "Dangerous". Line-up:Brad Delp-vocals,Barry Goudreau-guitar,Tim Archibald-bass,Brian Maes-keyboards and Dave Stefanelli-drums. Worth checking out."
Better than the first

"Perhaps an even stronger collection of songs and performances than RTZ's 1991 debut, Lost turned out to be a posthumous gift to fans released six years after the band folded. With material left over from the recording sessions that made up the eponymous debut, former Boston guitarist Barry Goudreau couldn't find a buyer until 1998, when MTM Records took the project and released it a year later in Europe and Japan. All of the songs on Lost but one are from Goudreau and Delp, perhaps the best collection of tunes the two ever penned, which benefit from some fine production, all from Goudreau (although more than once I wished he had splurged for horns on a couple of these songs). If you close your eyes and imagine you're living in the 70's you can even hear a bit of Boston in songs like Turn This Love Around and Don't Lead Me On. If you've got the self-titled debut, you owe it to yourself to get this one, too. If you don't have RTZ, get the pair and enjoy some fine 90's classic rock."
