"The Cincinnati-based Rubber Knife Gang, a super-talented trio featuring guitar, mandolin and upright bass, plays an engaging blend of roots, bluegrass and Americana originals on their debut album, "A Rubber Knife Life." The musicianship and vocals are excellent. The lyrics range from humorous to melancholy. RKG is well-known for its hours-long gigs with lengthy jams. The CD understandably can't capture the total flavor of the live shows, but it does showcase the band's superb songwriting and virtuosity."
