IIIrd TYME OUT has been one of the top Bluegrass bands worldwide for almost two decades since their formation in 1991. After 18 years together, IIIrd TYME OUT has collected an impressive 50 Industry Awards including: 7 consecutive wins for the IBMA - VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR; Russell Moore, 2-time winner of the IBMA - MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR); 5-time winner of the SPBGMA - VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR; and Russell Moore, 6-time winner of the SPBGMA - MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR.

RUSSELL MOORE & IIIrd TYME OUT is the 15th album in 18 years and the first studio album in 5 years from this Bluegrass SUPERGROUP. However, that is not the only thing that is new from IIIrd TYME OUT, this time out...their name has been changed to RUSSELL MOORE & IIIrd TYME OUT. However, the band still contains veteran members Steve Dilling and Wayne Benson along with current members Edgar Loudermilk and Justen Haynes.

The soulful mountain vocals of Russell Moore, combined with the unmatched band harmonies and top-notch instrumentation from IIIrd Tyme Out, continue to define this group as one of the most respected names in acoustic music. There is no better example than what is demonstrated on their first single HARD ROCK MOUNTAIN PRISON ( Til I Die) a song destined to become another classic bluegrass hit single from this award-winning group. Just look at the opening verse of the song:
Deep in the Blueridge Mountains mom and dad pray all alone
For a wayward son who never will come home
I can hear daddy say suppertime , Rock of Ages, momma sing

RUSSELL MOORE & IIIrd TYME OUT is the new Album title, as well as their new Band name. The anticipation for this new studio album has been very strong by their fans and bluegrass radio over the last several years, so it is fitting that this 15th album release will help usher them beyond their first 20 years together and lay down the foundation for their next 20 years.
