"YOU'VE GOT TO BE AN ETTING FAN TO LOVE THIS CD. THE TITLES ARE (FOR THE MOST PART) STANDARDS TODAY BUT WERE FIRST-TIME HITS WHEN SHE RECORDED THEM. THE ARRANGEMENTS ARE DATED AS IS THE SINGING, BUT WERE MODERN FOR THEIR TIME. THE SINGING IS SPARKLING THOUGH AND THE INTONATION IS FLAWLESS. IF YOU LIKE THE THIRTIES, IF YOU LIKE ETTING, YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED."
This is Ruth ettings finest works...

"Ruth Etting was a beautiful Zigfield girl, who became a popular jazz/pop singer, she kind of reminds me of a female version of Bing Crosby. Keep Sweeping The Cobwebs Off The Moon, Aint Misbehavin(a Fats Waller tune), More Than You Know, All Of Me & Ten Cents A Dance(her biggest hit) are all highlights of this fine cd release. Fans of Annette hanshaw and Lee Morse will also want to Real Ruthie's renditions of typical 1920's/30's pop tunes. Also heard in her backup bands is Rube Bloom, Jimmy Dorsey, Tommy Dorsey, Eddie Lang, Joe Venuti, Bunny Barigan, Glenn Miller(as arranger), and others... You will love this informitive cd, it serves as perfect intro to a world class singer..."
