"Worth buying just for the David Holmes mix of Smokebelch II. 15 minutes of soaring melodies, beautiful piano arpeggios lapping upon the ears like waves on a beach at an all-nighter in Ibiza. The kettle drums, acid trance elements give it something for all tastes, but ultimately it's the unforgettable bassline and arpeggios that reminds you just how beautiful acid house can be. When I took my first pill I danced to this all night. You'll want to do the same when you hear it. PS the rest of the songs are good too, especially number 2"

"I too danced to smokebelch II while on my first e (speccy dove, gewon!) but this is no simple stomper, its a beautiful piece of music perfectly constructed. The term intelligent techno has been derided as pretentious but it accurately describes this album. I have listened to sabresonic frequently since it was released ('94?) and have never tired of it, you'll have to do the same with sabresonic II (why the origional was deleted i'll never know, apart from the addition of Homer's mix on II, i stole a vinyl copy of that years ago anyway!) BUY THIS CD!"

What is it with Dublin and this album?

"Yeah, like somebody mentioned below, this album is the bee's cheese but it's prequel, Sabresonic, was better yet. Unfortunately, you can't buy Sabresonic any more (fcuk knows why) so you'll have to make do with this 'un. Also worth checking out are Orbital's brown album, the Rinocerus album "Installation Sonore" and anything by that big funky black man, Derrick Carter. G'wan the Sides!"
