"Saga Face a Face is not the group that you think it is. This CD is by a French Folk Artist and not the Rock Group we know and love."

"I was vacationing in Ontario, and as I listened to the radio, I heard an interview with occasional pieces played. The gentleman singing had an astonishingly penetrating voice, and the guitar work was appropriate and interesting (I am not a professional music critic, sorry). I spent the next several months searching for "that guy who does the blues in French and makes it work." I finally found this recording, and it's everything that I remembered and better overall even than I had expected. I love this recording, and I hope that lots of you will give it a try so that more of this stuff will become available to me!"
A nice mix

"Saga is a French singer/raconteur who, with various collaborators, has issued a varied and most listenable offering. Variously influenced by pop, jazz, and blues the mix is very eclectic-truly something for everyone. The musicianship is first-rate thruout, nicely accompanied by vocals variously recalling Dylan, a wistful Springsteen, and occasionally Tom Waits. A very solid effort, consistently excellent melodies. Tres bien fait!"

"Face a Face is a good vehicle for Saga's rich variety of musical and lyrical genre. Every song is different in it's style and matter but you will find one constant: Saga's powerful and expressive voice."
Music from the soul

"It is such a gift to find so much depth and soul in a voice. Saga's "Face a Face" offers so much to the listener - blues, jazz and a voice full of texture and emotion. His musical influences are apparent and Saga is able to take those influences and create an expression all his own. This is an expression that seems to come from deep within, and resonates for a long time. Whether you understand the French language or not, you will feel the power and intimacy in Saga's music."
