CD Reviews

Brilliant second release from Canada's best prog band!!

"This album is fantastic with a great album opener "It's Time"!! Ian Crichton's guitar work always amazes me, excellent stuff. Check out the guitar solo in "You're Not Alone" and the most underrated track in my opinion has got to be "Hot to Cold", which has a really awesome vocal interplay between Michael Sadler & Jim Crichton(?). Overall a great album, highly recommended."

"Being introduced to Saga's music only recently, I am puzzled over why the band hasn't received the proper attention it really deserves. At the same time most of us do know what kind of music is being played on MTV and premier radion stations, so what else should I expect?

Images at Twilight, the second album by this talented band is full of magnificent progressive rock songs.

The combination of strong songwriting, amazing musicanship, crafty guitars, massive yet smart use of keyboards (one of the trademarks of the band) and superb vocals really puts this band on another planet. Add all that to the unforgetable melodies that stay in one's head for hours and you really got the winning formula - the band really shines on this record.

I like all the songs, there isn't a single weak one here. But the real standouts for me are Images, Hot to Cold and Mouse in a Maze.

The following year after that the band released another excellent record that would even top the Images. That was truly the best era for Saga, perhaps the most underrated band of the most underrated genre. Thanks for reading."
