Product Description

Saga of the Simian Samurai is a new collaborative consisting of producer TomC3 and lyricist Prince Po. TomC3, who produced last years acclaimed Project Polaroid featuring the legendary MC Kool Keith, teams up with former Organized Konfusion member Prince Po to create another classic, lo-fi adventure. Prince Po is at his finest, and there is never a dull moment with this musical team. Through out the album, they thoroughly explore new territory in the form of new flows and beats. A few friends drop in to provide support in the form of Hiero kingpin, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, on the track "Rockland", and legendary DITC member AG, who is featured on the track "Can't Stop Won't Stop". The album wouldn't be complete without the bay area rhyme bomber Motion Man and Project Polaroid collaborator Kool Keith, as they drop a big one on "Apocalyptic Medicine". 14 tracks deep, this album is sure to keep you on your toes as each song takes you from one journey to the next; without missing a beat. Watch out, this is some high octane stuff!

"Prince Poetry is one of my favorite artists with his background coming from Organized Konfusion fame. This release features Prince Po spitting some vicious rhymes over the very talented TomC3's beats. TomC3 is from the bay and creates some very eccentric dope beats for Prince Po to do his thang on. This album is definitely an underground release due to the chemistry that is created between the artists and the producer. Stand out tracks for me are BAD BRAINZ, NOW AND THEN, ROCKLAND (FT DEL), THE INTRO, and CHOOSE. If you have been looking for ann album that strays away from the norm, this is it."

"TomC3 has quietly released incredible recordings. First, the slept on Project Polaroid album with Kool Keith and now Saga of the Simian Samurai with Prince Po. The music is varied with different tempos and feels. Po sounds very inspired. I am really liking the song Now and Then. The beat is crazy. I like the Lo-Fi aesthetic of the projects he releases. It's too bad his projects have been under the radar for the most part. They deserve much more recognition. If you like your music on the dusty side, pick this up. If you are into the polished "radio" sound, stay far away from this release."
