The Saint Dominic Chapel Girls' Choir, now in its fifth year, consists of young ladies of our parish ranging in age from nine to eighteen who are trained and directed by the Dominican Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Ever mindful that to sing is to pray, the girls endeavor to put their whole heart and soul into their song, for the sole intention of praising and glorifying God in the sacred Liturgy of the Catholic Church. Their devoted love of the sacred music and enthusiam for its precise performance have enabled these girls to develop a repertoire of music, from Gregorian chant to polyphonic motets. We hope you will enjoy this recording of some of our favorite Christmastide hymns and carols, and will make it a part of your Christmas traditions. We would like to express our gratitude to The Reverend Francisco Radecki for his time and expertise in recording and producing this CD, and to Mr. Craig Toth for his beautiful and scholarly translations, as well as his contribution of informative background notes on each selection.
