Album DescriptionJamie Walton is one of the rising stars of the classical music world. His debut CD was selected by The Daily Telegraph as one of the Top 10 CDs of 2002. This is Walton's first major orchestral CD, and showcases his position as one of the foremost concerto soloists of his generation. The stunning debut of young British pianist Daniel Grimwood at London's Wigmore Hall in 2002 has led him to be acclaimed as one of the finest keyboard artists of his generation. Once again the accompaniment is by the great Philharmonia Orchestra of London, heard on countless classic recordings. Alex Briger is a young British conductor much in demand and at the start of a most promising career. He has worked with both Sir Charles Mackerras and Pierre Boulez, and conducted operas at the Royal Opera House and elsewhere. Briger has conducted the London Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and has been invited three! times to lead the Philharmonia Orchestra.
