"The album has a very good collection of Adamo's hits in Spanish. The quality of a couple of tracks is not as good as in French cd's with the French version of the songs. Also a favorite of mine, Mi Gran Noche, was not included. Incha Alla and Es mi vida are high quality."
A genius trapped in audio hell

"Salvatore Adamo has been one of my very favorite artists for decades, but listening to his wonderful voice on this CD is like looking at a handsome man through thick fog; the sound is pitiful, thin and with a fuzz that on some tracks is unbearable. With so many other excellent recordings with good sound quality of his available, the only reason to get this particular CD would be if one only wished to hear him in Spanish, or simply wanted everything he has recorded.. Adamo writes the vast majority of his songs in French, a language he seems to most comfortable with, but he has recorded in several others, and I even have him singing in Japanese. Though sometimes the translations are a little awkward when compared to the originals, it is always a delight to hear his gorgeous melodies, and his emotive, sensitive voice.
This CD has the Spanish versions of several of his biggest successes, like "Inch Allah", "J'aime" ("Quiero"), and "La Nuit" ("Noche"), and it also has a lesser known Italian song "Non Voglio Nascondermi" that is fabulous, here with the translated title of "Porque Yo Quiero".
The sound on tracks 5, 8, and 12 are particularly dismal, and though it pains me to give this extraordinary singer/songwriter less than the highest rating, the sonic abyss makes this a 3 star CD. I recommend instead one of his great compilations like "Les Indispensables de Salvatore Adamo" to fully enjoy his superb artistry. Total time is 46'40."
