CD ReviewsIs Sam Releasing An Album? 03/16/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) ""i'm Right Here" is a very nice song, but I don't understand. Is Samantha Mumba releasing a full album including this song? It's a shame when good artist's albums never get released. That's why I feel sorry for Lady May,Latrelle,Lyric,Tg4,Christina Milian, and Lovher." Great single. Where did she go? Weather Warden | Auckland, NZ | 12/09/2003 (4 out of 5 stars) "This song was supposed to be the first from Sam Mumba's new album, but strangely the album hasn't seen the light of day yet. No idea why, this song shows it'll be good whenever it is finally released. This is a more grown up American influenced Sam, as she waited a few months to release this single, after she'd been releasing over in the USA for a bit. It definitely shows in I'm Right Here. Track rundown:1. I'm Right Here (5/5)
The single edit with just Sam singing. This song is extremely upbeat, with a great catchy chorus and a strong American influence. The music is great and you'll just have to sing along with Sam's strong vocals. Excellent. 2. I'm Right Here (Feat. Damian Marley) (4/5) This is basically the same song as above, except with a rap break from unknown Damian Marley in the middle. Without the rap, it would be the same song as #1. This is sometimes billed as the US version, while the non rap edit is the UK version. 3. Wish Upon A Star (3/5) This is boring! It's upbeat, but slow at the same time. It's kind of bland and sounds like a Disney song. Not one of Sam's better songs. 4. I'm Right Here (Video) (5/5) My single didn't have the video, but I've seen it and it's really good. I can't say much, because I've seen the video once and it was ages ago. This is a good single, and I'm Right Here should have been a bigger hit then it was. Sam, come back! We all miss you!" |
