"This is the fourth (2008) in what has been an annual series of Word Sandi back catalog repackaging efforts after "Duets" (2005), "Voice of Christmas" (2006) and "The Definitive Collection" (2007). This set features Sandi at her dramatic Gospel spotlight best and the sound quality is superb and consistent from beginning to end. The thematic focus is the sacrifice and redemption Sandi songs. The included version of "They Could Not" is from "Lift Up the Lord" which contains the thrilling high note ending version. This "Old Rugged Cross" is from "Hymns Just for You". No alternate tracks for long-time Sandi fans and the liner notes are skimpy. Nevertheless, this is a nicely assembled repackage that offers a nice sampling of Sandi songs that are all about Lent and Easter and may intrigue newer Sandi fans enough to seek the blessings of a deeper exploration into the Sandi discography.
