"A truly remarkable session, filled with inspired playing by all. Sandy Brown was probably one of a half dozen exceptional and innovative players to come out of England/Scotland. He was influenced by the early New Orleans clarinet players as well as African "high life" music and the original tunes on this disc reflect that influence.

There was no one like him on either side of the Atlantic. Original, compelling, and infinitely stimulating, it's THE Sandy Brown disc to own."
