"I strongly recomend buying this single! Alex Bands voice is so amazing and so good for "Why Don't You and I" and santana is great (as always)! The two play very well together and again Bands voice talent is incredible! If you buy this and like the first song I also recomend Camino Palmero by The Calling (Alex Bands band)"

"On the CD, the song is sung by Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. Yet I just saw the video today with Alex Band from the Calling. While they both do an awesome job, I have to say I like Alex singing this better. Chad's voice tends to be a bit too much sometimes but he did do an awesome job on this one particular song. Buy them both, it's a great song."
Radio version vs. cd version

"I am waiting for my CD as I write this. I heard this version on the radio and fell in love with it and so bought the CD, and like many other fans, was surprised when it didn't sound like it did on the radio, and while I do not necessarily prefer Chad's voice over Alex's (both do a great job)I do prefer the way the song is performed over the CD version, the pacing is different. Anyway, I am so glad I was able to find it at Amazon.com, this after hitting every music store. I wish the recording artists and record companys would stop doing this, it is getting annoying."
Great song

"I strongly recommend this single. Alex Bands voice is so amazing and it fits perfectly into this song. Santana & Alex have done great job. If you like Santanas and The Callings (Alexs band) songs then you should buy this single. ;)"
The way this song was supposed to sound

"I'm astounded at the number of people that think that an upbeat lovesong like this is supposed to be sung with a voice that conveys angst. Gritty is putting it mildly, the album version of this song sounds like Chad Kroeger has bronchitis.. curiously enough it sounds very similar to an audio file that's been run through a heavy sound compression codec, which is to say distorted and overall harsh.
I'm certain that this is the version that Santana would have wanted on the album, but Alex Band of the Calling just isn't as big a name as Chad Kroeger of Nickleback, they needed big names to sell it. So they recorded this altogether better version to play on the radio and in the video to make people think that's what they were getting on the full CD, then pulled a fast one and delivered the bronchitis special edition instead.
On the other hand as the other reviews have suggested, if you liked the album version, if you honestly believe that a love song is supposed to be sung with angst.. and.. er.. grit.. then the CD single is probably not for you."
