I loved "Classics" but this is a better compilation

"I really do adore "Classics", a compilation of new and old songs that was released late last year however almost half the tracks on that cd were new which made no sense to call an album when almost half the songs are new "Classics". Curiousity got the best of me and I had to hear the difference between "Classics" and "The Very Best of: 1990-2000". I hate to say this but "The Very Best of" cd blows "Classics" out of the water. I have never heard some of the songs on this cd which made listening to them all the more special. I particularly fell in love with the gorgeous pop melodies of "Heaven is Here", "Who Wants to Live Forever" and "A question of Honour part 2" (this version is new to me). Although hefty on the price for this import, the song selection here proved to me that it was well worth the money. On the "Classics" album, Sarah sings solo on "Time to Say Goodbye" while the version with Andrea Bocellio was used on this cd. Both versions are excellent. I can't pick which one I prefer. I was more than pleasd that two of my favorite songs off "Eden" were included on this cd, the title track and "Only an Ocean Away". I kinda wished that Sarah's version of Dido's "Here With Me" was tacked on but I'm not really at all disappointed with the numerous excellent tracks compiled for this import only compilation. I was more than happy that her versions of "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and "Scarborough Fair" were included. I loved the Richard Marx penned track "The Last Words You Said". Yeah, Richard writes some of the drippiest ballads there are ever are but the artists he choses to have them sing them is impeccable. I definitely recommend this cd to die-hard Sarah Brightman fans. I do love "Classics" but "The Very Best of:1990-2000" is vastly superior in my book."
Sarah Brightman's best works all on one CD!

"Although a tad pricey, "Best of" features tracks from "Fly," "Eden," "Timeless," "Dive," and "La Luna," including a few remixes, radio edits and live versions that can't be found anywhere else. A good introduction to Sarah's works on the German EastWest label, including songs from "Fly" which was a Europe-only release and was one of Sarah's most interesting experimental albums.Includes some of my favourites including "A Question of Honour Part 2," "Only An Ocean Away," "Captain Nemo," and "Time To Say Goodbye" with Andrea Bocelli."
