Excellent album from a great country group.

"Most of the songs here are catchy, lightweight and radio-friendly, although radio has not always been friendly to Sawyer Brown. Their hits record is patchy but it hasn't prevented them having a long and successful career.This album spawned two country hits - Putting the dark back into the night and their cover of the George Jones classic, The race is on. Most of the songs here were self-penned, but there is one other notable cover - Getting tough, written by Steve Earle.In among the many upbeat songs, they slow things down occasionally, especially on the reflective Good while it lasted, I'm gonna miss you after all and the closing Passing train.While this is not the most important album that Sawyer Brown ever recorded, it is still a very fine album of its type. Sawyer Brown make music to be enjoyed, but you don't have to take it too seriously."
