The Seeds had two US top 40 singles early in 1967: ?Pushin? Too Hard?, now a rock?n?roll standard ? "a wired slice of garage-psych and a blueprint for the punk movement of the following decade" and ?Can?t Seem To Make You Mine?, (both later revived on the ?Nuggets? compilations). From LA, new band The Doors supported them and lifted the Seeds keyboard & vocal style. In ?67 Sky helped launch flower power. Always mysterious, he remains true to hippie idealism. Artistic reverence is shown by Garbage, Pere Ubu, Johnny Thunders, The Damned, Billy Childish, Alex Chilton, The Pretty Things, Noel Gallagher and The Ramones all covering the Seeds!
