"First off I can't believe that all of the scarling darlings out there aren't flocking to review this release.
Secondly its Scarling..They could never put out anything bad in my book and this cd is by all means worth the money. I call this the Lets-review-single because when you listen to the lyrics and you have listened to Sweet Heart Dealer and So Long, Scarecrow in and out, backwards and forwards and you know the lyrics you find a distinct correlation and reference to Scarling's past, but with a poppish shoegazing revamp.
The Pixie's cover 'Wave of Mutilation' is an absolutely perfect selection. You hear references, or relations rather, to previous songs such as 'Art of Pretension' and 'Love Becomes a Ghost' right when the song starts out and later ends in the bitter sweet yet all too tragically beautiful cure-like goodbye that you know you was the reason you started listening to scarling to begin with.
"and we tried to change the city noise made us strange..."
