"There probably are not too many copies of this CD in the midwest. I bought this album as a tape many years ago when in Maine on vacation. Everytime I listen to it now it takes me back to the wonderful times on the Maine Coast. Needless to say I had to update my collection and purchase it on CD. The music is fun and every song tells a good story. Start with this CD from Schooner Fare and expand from here."

"Many a raccous evening was spent in that little pub on the Portland, ME. waterfront, listening to Schooner Fare. The original, signed, vinyl albums that I bought in that pub have long since worn out. But long live Schooner Fare on CD! It isn't quite the same, but listening to those CDs takes me back in time - rousing renditions of "We're Here to Drink the Whiskey," "Mad Jack," "The Ballad of John Cook" - some of the best music in Maine or anywhere!"
